Nothing can put a damper on your social life like a bad outbreak of pimples. You feel self conscious, embarrassed and the confidence to "strut your stuff" can go out the window. Even though we know that true beauty resides on the inside, a bad break out can steal our confidence and make us feel less desirable.
Luckily there are a couple of "quick fixes" that can make any of your pimples disappear overnight. Natural alpha hydroxy acids Citric acid is one of these that can easily be applied to your pimples in the form of lemon juice. Dab some lemon juice on a q-tip and leave on overnight. In the morning there should be a significant reduction in the inflammation as lemon juice acts as an astringent. A little mineral based concealer should be enough to cover up the remaining pimple. Note, the lemon juice should tingle but not sting. If it stings you should dilute it with a little water. White toothpaste Dabbing toothpaste on your pimples before you go to sleep can also dramatically reduce the inflammation by morning. This is because the toothpaste blocks the oxygen that the bacteria on the pimples need. Obviously, this is a recommendation for "spot" treatment (no pun intended) as covering your entire face with toothpaste in impractical and more likely to cause more irritation. Again, a little concealer should take care of the remaining reduced bumps. Unfortunately, the "quick fixes" only work on the symptoms of acne and pimples. They will not cure the root cause of acne. While fixing the real root of the problem can take time, effort and life style changes, it is totally worth it. Acne is caused by over production of sebum (oil) in the sebaceous glands and also the blockage of the pores through which the sebum would ordinarily escape. There are numerous reasons that these conditions occur, but most of them have to do with nutrition and hormonal imbalances. Making the necessary adjustments in these areas will not only fix your acne but will probably also increase your health and vitality and well being, so they are well worth investigating. Do yourself a favor and don't just fix the symptoms, buckle down and permanently fix the cause of your acne pimples. It can be done and there are lots of resources out there to help you.
